Why are Abrams tanks not doing well in Ukraine?

 Thirty modern Abrams M1 tanks were sent to Ukraine for a counter offensive.   However, 5 have been destroyed by Russians and the rest were taken out for reevaluation.     The $500 Kamikaze drones were able to disable and destroy the $10 million dollar behemoth

Some analysis:

1.  While the Abrams tanks were heavily armored at the front and the side, its top are not. and drones /drone operator find vulnerable and so are the tracks that can be easily destroyed by ordinary explosives

2.  The turbine engine poses big thermal image of the tank and could easily be pinpointed by  its hot temperature.

3.  The tanks were huge and heavy and vulnerable.

Some solutions:

1.  Strengthen the top turret;

2.  Send smaller tanks, with less heat signature

3.  Build tanks with multiple defenses:   electronic, radar that could detect armaments before they hit the tank.

The tanks did great during the Iraq war because they were supported by the Apache and  Warthogs.  (A 10) that experts aid did the most damage to the Iraqi tanks.   Without these air support the weaknesses of the  Abrams tanks became visible
