 The current Ukraine Russia war has shown the shift in thinking about military weapons

       1.  The sinking of  $750 Muscova destroyer shows the vulnerability of current large weapons                         system.   Like  the large US aircraft carrier.  Even the shooting down of  $50 million Russian                   SU34 by portable MANPAD (air defense system) which may have cost only $10,000.  What an               imbalance

             The weapon system of Muscov should be examined as it is supposed to be an air defense                         system

      2.  The diminishing importance of huge heavy armor with sophisticated tank and armor machine

           that could easily be taken down by a Javelin or 

     3.   Growing importance of drone to detect troop movements and deliver weapons payload.

           These wrecked havoc on Russian army:  destruction of tanks and troop position without

            giving away their positions

          

But of course we often ask the man vs machine question?  Was it the passion of Ukrainians that enabled them  to outwit and destroy the Russian war machine and blunted their attempt to achieve air superiority.

If there was a coherent troop armor and personnel movement, with the direction of able generals they would have achieved quick victory

The winter thaw, the bogs also thwarted tank and troop movement.   The 40 mile  Russina convoy looked like sitting ducks for wily Ukrainians

We also think that the drones and missile system  are the only effective weapons acquired by PHL.  The destroyer, the helicopters may now have limited survivality vs NPA if they can acquire NLAW  or   MANPAD or mobile howitzers and  helicopters may look obsolete.  

Consequently strategy and tactics have to evolve.  You no longer need billions to arm yourself with $50 million jst fighters, or a $10 billion aircraft carrier, Missile system MANPAD, NLAW drones will do
